internet icon

I can not open the internet by clicking on the internet icon on my computer desktop. I wanted to know what can be the cause of it an how can you help me to fix it?

What happens when you doubleclick the icon ? Maybe the shortcut is not pointing to the correct place ?

If this is the case right click the icon and select properties. From the properties window click find target and navigate to the location of explore.exe. This should be in C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer.

Remove the icon (drag to waste bin). Go to the IE folder and left-click it will then offer to put a short cut on your desktop. Hopefully this new one will work!
