When I get my films developed at Boots, I get the photos put on CD as well. But whenever I try and send them to friends by e-mail, they are so huge that I can't attach them. What's the easiest way of making the photo files smaller so as to be easily sendable? Thanks.

The pictures are most probably a very high resolution on the disk, making the file size quite large. Scaling down the picture and then saving it to your hard drive will greatly decrease the file size, although be sure to save them as JPG's, as GIF is unsuitable for pictures.

Thanks, Infoxicated - but how exactly DO I scale down the pics? I really do need the procedure spelling out!
