Mt Acer laptop has crashed ....message says NTLDR not installed. Machine only 7 months old. The Systems disc does nothing and the Recovery disc is faulty. ACER are NO HELP AT ALL. They say send back faulty disc and in 2-3 weeks they will try and replace it via Microsoft. Their 3 year guarantee is worthless apparently. Any Ideas

What version of windows are you using? I had this problem once and just put NTLDR and BOOT.INI on a floppy disk. This booted into windows then where i could recover windows. You could try booting a windows cd and going into the recovery console and typing FIXBOOT. If you are using XP try this http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/learnmore /tips/doug91.mspx

Windows XP pro on a laptop with no floppy disc
Try the link I posted then, ignore the part about multi booting, just read about FIXBOOT. It should sort your problem.
