I've no idea where Vinny is stuck but we might have to smoke him out soon...

re Midsomer...John Nettles is retiring after 13 years and shooting starts at the end of July....well, that's a fine thank you for long service to tv drama..... <made myself laugh now> They're not sending him upstairs & having him come down again with a new head on (though heaven knows there must be a fair few up there) a la soap opera. Neil D is DCI John Barnaby, Tom's cousin...let's hope he hasn't got a soppy/stroppy wife :o)

Lovely pic Jude, he might be the son of a hen blackbird I used to have, she had lots of white.

Oh I see, Robi. I *thought* it was rather brutal...!

What a funny blackbird, Jude - I've never seen anything like it. But then I'm not a great ornithologist. I was 25 when, on the way to visit my mother, I saw the funniest bird outside her building. Rushed inside and shouted at my poor mother to come out immediately to see the strange bird, she wouldn't wanna miss it! She hurried outside - and couldn't stop laughing. It was an ordinary magpie... Well I had never noticed them before! It's very odd. My eldest sister who is ten years my elder knows the name of every bird and every flower, every tree - and I know hardly any. I think our Mum knew quite a lot about wildlife but for some reason she didn't go through the process of naming everything again for me, after she'd done it for sis. Perhaps she thought I'd soak it up, but obviously I didn't. But I love blackbirds.

Having a lie in as it's Sta Eulalia Day so no shops open and the local band making a racket. computer connexion keeps bleeping off and hopefully I'll manage to see Baz although looking at the little bit they showed, he's got darkish hair and looks silly (why do pouffs age so badly?). Jolly cold but no snow :-(

Robi, sorry to burst your bubble but isn't it

aah I saw him, looking a bit odd to my mind, but then a glimpse of his new show and all the old feelings come flooding back. Couldn't get the prog to work right up until the time he was due I was restarting and reinstlling progs but I saw him (tried to put a heart symbol here but all I got was a company logo! doh!)
zzzzzzzzzzz......
morning all, I think we could do with another sleep lab please, I seem to have gone out of sync since the last one... or maybe the weather that's put me into hibernation mode. I'll probably be making even less sense than usual and I've long given up on past participles & grammar....the words are hopefully all there but not necessarily in the right order :o) As for punctuation mine's gone free range, it just pops in and out at random...some ~ of it hasn't {been seen for years so; I might stick the odd one in so they don't feel redundant. What's this one ~ called anyway & what's it for pray tell? I would ask <<< out there what my wavy hyphen's all about but I'm too worried a doctor might want to look at it.

Enjoy your St Doolalli day neti...I didn't see Baz
♫...Oh Patty...you came and you gave without taking...♫
if it's over a letter in Spanish ~ is a tilde... I wonder if it can waltz... in maths it means 'roughly equal to' but I don't know it's name as we have not been introduced.

did it on mapa de caracters, and there was a heart and I selected and copied it but when I pasted it it was a copyright symbol. On my lappy it's Ok.

Absolutely freezing here and I love it, so Mr N has snuck in whilst I was enjoying a coffee with my mates, and he's chopped a load of wood, so now I've got to remove the fire insert, and lay a fire, and get jolly dirty whilst doing so! ho hum - happy days!© want to see what actually appears!!
haha, thanks jno...at my school we didn't have any 'roughly equal to's'...you either got it exactly equal to or a low flying board rubber at the side of the head

♫...Waltzing ma~....waltzing ma~....♫

...<waves to Dolly>... hope all's going well!

That damned Midsomer, after waiting for it to download all day, when I put it onto disc and then to my warm bed to watch it, there was nothing there, so have tried again. At least I can watch Corrie and EE! Did anyone notice Max Branning in the audience of D O Ice with his redhaired daughter!
