DIVX on USB stick??

I have downloaded a movie in, what i think, is DIVX form it says DivX.avi. I have a Divx LG DVD player but when I put the stick in to play the movie, i cant. I Have looked through all previous questions but cannot find out exactly what im doing wrong. Can anyone enlighten me please?? The idea is that i can download a movie, put it on the stick, watch it via the dvd then erase and start over again that way, i have no need for dvd discs. I need a reply in basic laymans terms as i am not very clever with this sort of thing! Many thanks in advance.

try telling the 10'000 people that have lost their jobs in the music industry over the last couple of years (and that just EMI and sony!) due to a downturn in music and DVD sales that stealing music and films is a victimless crime.

I dont see anyone in the street saying dont smoke your drugs thats illegal. Do you? - I have done in the past

Would you be as criticalof someone in the street smoking drugs rthats come from crime gangs? - Yes. I fail to see your point.

It's a shame that you have got to your 50's without benefit of understanding what is right and what is wrong.

actually your drug question wasn't there when I started my reply.

yes, I have smoked drugs, and done speed, ecstasy, coke, LSD and so on.

yes I have stolen things, yes I have bought stolen goods.

the difference being is I am now grown up and realise that these things are wrong, you obviously haven't yet.
