doh, no sooner have I got back online with a whizzy new hi-speed computer with lots of memory and humungous broadband speed, than it gets a virus and I had to spend an hour cornering it and kicking it to death (with the aid of Malwarebytes).

While that was going on I watched the repeat of Joanna Lumley's Nile - she was in Nubia yesterday morning and would you believe she met the same nomads I did! The Hassan family, great-grandma Medina and patriarch Mohamad and all. I've got the photos and everything. I mean, four million nomads in Sudan and I bump into the same ones as Joanna. This smells suspicious.

But I'm very happy to have seen the last episode on that netisite. Was so nice to see Rose again, even if I think she was too stern over Cook's photo portrait. Ha ha wasn't it fun when Cook said "I've been upstairs applying Potter's (?) liniment" and she had actually had her picture taken by Cecil Beaton. Reminded me of a Paul Gallico novel I read as a child about a cleaning lady who coveted a Dior dress, and I think she got it for herself, too, in the end.

I watched Toast last night (with several interruptions from the hound)...I loved the 60s stuff & the Dusty songs but it was a bit padded out I thought. Was the book full of recipes? :o) His childhood wasn't idyllic & there was sadness but it wasn't horrendous... nowt wrong with Fray Bentos, lol

Must toddle, I've got steps to scrub & bloomers to ponch before next year....

yes with some models, if the door opens outwards, you can open a full bath :-(.....also of course you have to sit there in the nuddy and shivering while it fills up....and those door seals WILL wear out.

Daughter has op on 8th jan in Palma, but the NHS pays for plane tickets etc cos the hospital here is being moved so lots of things being done in Palma for a while!!

Yes I'm a member of the slip over in the bath club .Our bath is a big rolltop thing across the corner of the room and I've gone a wallop in it a couple of times .I've got a mat in it now .

I watched Toast last night and caught up with Rock and Chips.
Clive Owen ( in a codpiece ) fix tonight Robinia ,if you like that sort of thing :) Elizabeth ,the Golden Age .He plays Essex .

Hi Everybiddy. Hope you're ok. All the best for your daughter Neti. You're bound to worry - you're a Mum. We all do it no matter how old they are.
I watched Toast last night and thought it was a bit exagerated but well presented and acted. It was quite sad at times and then again it made me laugh too.
I'm having a mini spring clean . Changing beds, vacuuming, getting washing basket emptied. Buying new pillows. Scrubbing kitchen floor. I know that's ordinary work but to me it's spring cleanish!!
Sausage and mash for lunch today. Mmmm. Pork and Bramley apple sausages.
Those walk in baths don't appeal to me at all.Fancy have to sit in it while it fills up. Rubbish. No. My mind is almost made up to get my bath out and a shower in.
I've been to Birds today for some sausage rolls and broccoli quiche and nice bread. My friend is coming round to have a drink and see the New Year in with me. She has to work until 6 today.

Couldn't live without my bath, I love them in the winter, and, so far, have no proble getting in and out, it's when I shower that I have to hold on, but the window is right there and I hold onto the security bars, getting water on my face panicks me and I get dizzy, so usually wash hair from the back and just wipe face, cannot breathe if water is on me!
