Mouse problems still

Further to a post from a few weeks ago I have now bought a second plug&play mouse that doesn't work in my laptop but does in others in the house. Both times there were various error messages but this one was both times - the INF may be later than Windows 95

It should be present at C:\WINDOWS\inf
(That's the location for XP. I'm guessing that it will be the same for other versions of Windows)
If it's missing (or in the wrong place), that's the cause of your problem. If so, download the zip file from here:

Double-click on it to unzip it, then put the extracted usb.inf file into the correct folder.
