I have noticed, several times, that I come out of my Google home page to my desktop, click on my Broadband Connection icon to log off but there is still a fast moving download still doing on as seen by the download counter rapidly counting up. Why shoul this happen as I am not even viewing anything on the net. Thanks for any help.

IWhat finally made me post this topic, was yesterday, my wife connected to the net to check her mails which were mainly from shopping sites she also briefly looked at a couple of sites I had used earlier in the day. Total time logged on was about 20 mins as I logged off I saw the total download for that 20 min visit was 63 Mbytes, about twice our normal daily total and although not on any site, just the desktop, but the download counter was ticking over merrily.
