I just found out that I missed the 2nd episode of Rock n chips at the end of April so am downloading it now.

I've had my hot bath and am all clean and in bed, but will get up to make a coffee and a banana to eat. When this mouth of mine is healed I am going to eat a delicious steak!!!
I've felt rather chilly today and it was a bit overcast but now it's 18º and I still feel cold!

Am catching up on Vera 2 as I forgot to watch it!

Hi folks. I am about, but have been somewhat busy. The land sale now seems to be formalised, but still lots of things to sort out.

Have just had a skim through your posts to catch up, and I hope that those of you will ailments will get well soon.

Shaney, sounds just like cystitis. I used to have it very often. You can buy cystitis meds over the counter at any pharmacy and they really work. I used to get the bleeding too. I always got cystitis and thrush as an after effect of taking antibiotics and if I remember rightly you have had antiobiotics fairly recently.

Am off on holiday Friday morning and now have a lot of paperwork, ironing, and packing to do apart from several legal appointments, but will pop back in as soon as.

Morning all, hello Lottie, is it off to Yorkshire for you then, lucky thing.

I think mouth is slightly better but was up several times in the night gulping paracetamol and rinsing with salt and water, but this was maybe cos the damne3d cat was up and down and disturbed me!

Morning all...a tad milder here, but it is only tad.

Hope you feel better today today shaney but that's quite a coincidence 'cos I was the same yesterday, even had to get up in the night which isn't me. I've put mine down to being cold & tired, I've felt a bit grim since Sunday afternoon....and there's more house stuff do deal with. Another vanman(possibly men) will hopefully be here shortly. I'm fed up with things going wrong...neti can you & your tool box come back & live in the UK please? You must be on call 24 hrs, all week, including xmas day....Oh and me privet needs cutting...badly...looks like yet another gardener's gonna let us down, pee po piddle...

Somebody commentated how marvellous the Queen is at 85 & I shouted back at the tv it was because she doesn't lie awake worrying about the f'ing boiler at night, haha

I think I'll go on holiday & forget to come back, I'll be squatter in a beach hut down Wooly way.

KBO each & every...I daresay I'll be back soon to grumble a bit more. :o)

Feel a bit better today although the stitches are stinging. Have cleaned the house and am making spag bol (cos I can eat that chopped up) for dinner. Have jsut taken another paracetamol and will rest for an hour or so.

Ah well ..it's urinary tract infection .I've got antibiotics .Trimethoprim.
Gawd knows how I've managed to get this .
I had to pee in a tiny bottle so he could test it ..hahaa.That was quite a feat hovering over the lav at the surgery .
Thanks for your tip Woofy .It did ease off a bit after I gulped that down followed by a pint of Barley water and hot water bottle .I don't feel quite so shivery today either .

Usual reasons for UTI are around not drinking enough (NOT whiskey lol) or drinking too much high sugar stuff. If you "glow" a lot like me then that takes up a considerable amount of your fluid intake.

I don't know Woofy .I finished glowing a good while ago now :)
I do drink quite a lot .But ..I'm a coffee addict .Although I haven't had any coffee for a few days now since this cropped up and have been sticking to tea ,herbal tea or barley water .I do drink a couple of those small bottles of water every day as well.
Mind you I can also hammer the whisky if I'm in the mood but I haven't had a drink for a while .
I do load the herbal teas with honey though :)

I am like the energiser bunny...the glowing kicked off around 16 years ago and i am "still glowing" You need to aim for 2 litres of liquid a day and most of it shouldn't be heavily sugared. I love strong mint tea very sweet but take my usual tea with one teaspoon of sugar in a half litre mug.

Good grief Woofy and I thought I went through "glowing "for ages ..I had an earlyish hysterectomy at 38 . Was fine for a while but then it kicked in .They left the ovaries and of course you go through the change rapidly then .Thank goodness it didn't last too long .They put me on HRT for a while .But that shortish change was bloody awful at the time so I can sympathise .I was like a bear with a sore arse :)

Funnily enough I don't take sugar in black tea .Though I suppose honey is as bad in the herbals .I do have Kandis sugar with coffee though .Lots of .

lol Shaney, I tried HRT but DH begged me to stop when I started throwing things (honestly) it didn't touch the flushes either. I tried everything that you can imagine...even gave up sugar and alcohol...happily that didn't help either.

Hi Everybiddy. I've had a hectic day. Lovely lunch with my 2 friends after Tai Chi Then had to dash home to go to the Ink Cartridge shop to sort out a cartridge for my printer. The one I bought was faulty so when I rang, the young lad said if I could take my printer in it would help them sort it. Which I did and he did. So I'm up and running again. Then I had to go to town to fetch my new shoes which I am in love with. So comfy and well made and well worth £50 of anybody's money. Actually they only cost me a fiver cos I sold 3 9ct Gold rings (not sentimental value or good jewelry or anything) for £45 at today's price for gold. Then on my way to the bus station I bumped into the friend I'm going to the wedding with, so we went and had a coffee so I didn't get home til about 5 - knackered!

Shaney and Neti I hope you are feeling better today than you were yesterday. You'd think the Drs would give you a jug to pee into then it would pore easier into a tiny bottle wouldn't it? Anyway. Get well soon both of You.

I genuinely never had very bad flushes when I was on the 'change' I did occasionally but not the night sweats like some of my friends had. All I did have was aching joints for about 6 months and was told it could be to do with the menopause. I also know I was a bit temperamental but I didn't live with anybody so didn't have anybody to take it out on !! I've been quite lucky healthwise and may I say to whoever is looking after me, 'Please let it continue'

Well, I'm off now to see what's on the radio or the box. Have a good night all.

Hope you feel better soon Shaney. Jude you are meant to give a 'mid stream sample' hence the little tube you have to use. It then gives an accurate picture apparently!

Had a lovely lunch out today too in local pub after friend and I went to see houses similar to the ones that the developer is planning to put on our land - YES, the land is sold. Still got to go to solicitors again tomorrow to sort out things. No doubt it won't be the last visit.

Apart from solicitors, plan to be ironing and sorting out stuff for holiday tomorrow, but also have some plants to put out!

Still no real rain. Had some in the night, but hardly touched the ground.

Yay Lottie....Jude I reckon I had your symptoms as well as my own and those of the Dagenham Girls Choir.
DH went to the renal clinic today and has got some different pills and some energy drinks. Now I just have to get him to take them. It's way easier with the dogs, you just roll the pill up in some sliced chicken......

Lurvley morning here...Rab found a lovely green pile of fresh horse poo (new grass) ate some and rolled in the rest. Yesterday I put both dogs into new very expensive flea and tick collars...can't use the spot ons cos they groom each other and Shughy is allergic to frontline spray. Anyway today Rabs is now yellowish green. I hope the smell doesn't linger in the collar because at 14 quid a pop I am not buying an new one any time soon.
It was cold here yesterday. I hope its nicer today.
