Malware Warnings on The AnswerBank

Hello,

I thought I would make this a sticky as most of my other posts have been lost in the ether.

Some of you may be getting warnings from your antivirus software or browsers saying that The AnswerBank is hosting malware. I can assure you that everything here is safe and if you browse the site in Internet Explorer you should have no problems.

We are currently in the process of fixing the Firefox browsing issues and normal service should be resumed at some point today.

So, stay calm and don't panic! Just pour yourself a cuppa while I get the Cat O' Nine Tails out to make sure the technical team get these issues fixed.

Hi Ed you need to post this info. in all sections of AB. Everyone isn't into Tecchnology.!!

I'm not normally but am trying to get to the bottom of thing so far as this supposed virus which has hit your site. Consequently I am now viewing different sections to read ABers comments.

Hello,

Ron: Technology is where most of the questions about the malware issues were asked. It made sense to put it here while things were being fixed. Also, plenty of helpful users referred people to this thread, which allowed me time to fix the issue rather than posting in each section about it!

Ok, so the warnings in Firefox/Chrome/Safari should now be fixed. I've used each browser this morning and have received no warnings on any of them. If anyone is still experiencing difficulties then let me know and I will contact you directly.

Firefox no alerts now, so that's good.
Page layout is still wrong though, is this in the pipeline?

I am getting the warning in the Law section, but other areas where I have dropped in appear to be OK.

....and now Religion and Spirituality are "Reported" and thus I cannot get on there either.
