a jar of jam...

Not just any old jam... oh no.. but a special jar of homemade delicious blackberry and apple jam with a splash of port.

A group of my neighbours have made a batch of jams - to sell to the other neighbours on the estate and the Christmas Fayre. The apples and blackberries were grown on the estate and we all made the jam together.

The labels have been designed too - and they all look rather lovely.

Our purchases costs are about £1.50 per jar - but wouldnt want this to sway you in your decision too much.

How much would you pay - for a jar of delicious jam made from apples and blackberries on the estate you live on - which could also make a small stocking filler for a relative or friend!

I'd happily pay about £3...but would prefer to pay less.
Oooh! I love blackberry and apple jam especially home made. Are you doing mail order? If so, I'll have a couple of jars. I'll pay £2.50 a jar plus post and packing.
I was thinking nearer £2
Before I got as far down as the price you listed, I thought to myself £1.50 at least for decent home made jam.
Or even more!
Yeah, so was I until I saw your costs ... the extra 50p was a good will gesture.

Starbuckone - thats very kind of you to offer to buy some!!!
We have two flavours - apple and blackberry with port and apple and mandarin with triple sec.
They are both YUMMY.. much better than the shop stuff!
We havent got lots of jars - only about 40 or so.. but would happily sell you two if you were that keen!

I was thinking somewhere around the £3 mark.. per jar.. and maybe sell 2 for a fiver? To try to get people to buy more than one!

We also have homemade cider.. and a whole load of apple pies and cakes and muffins to sell too! The cider is quite strong though... one neighbour tried a pint and couldnt speak properly for two hours!!!! Whoops!
ooppss, didn't realise that £1.50 was your cost. I would say at least £2.50. How much do you pay in a shop for a jar of jam?
"he cider is quite strong though... one neighbour tried a pint and couldnt speak properly for two hours!!!! Whoops!"

Your advertising campaign needs a little tweaking, maybe? LOL
I think for the homemade jam you describe that £1.50 is quite reasonable(I would pay up to £2.00 or more)but then I live in London where we are used to paying more.
I buy (on a regular basis) Tiptree Mulberry Conserve, and this is £3.79 a jar!
You can tell I just LOVE jam.
Yes I am. (keen I mean) How can I contact you? Is a cheque okay? I could send it to you before you send the jam, if you want to wait for it to go through the bank. My mouth is watering already just thinking about it. Yummy.
Apologies:~
If your costs are £1.50,then I think £2.99 would be a good price, but definitely not less.
i'm not a huge fan of jam, the cider sounds interesting though, would pay for that £2.50 per pint?

I haven't got a mobile - too old fashioned - I will ring you on the number you have given. Expect your phone to rin in about five minutes time.
Probably £1.99. I've never had blackberry and apple jam but I've always got bramble jelly in the fridge.

lovely!
Am I too eager? I've called twice and got your voicemail. I'll wait another ten minutes and call again. Hope I'm not being a pain!
