Why are they so chintzy? Do non of the owners have any taste? We need to stay in Blackpoool for a couple of nights soon, any recomendations?

Okay....I'm guessing dave50 'has' to go to Blackpool...

I stayed there recently...I'll try and remember the name of the B&B. Bit chintzy but it was clean and the bar area was nice...

just continue to market yourselves as a museum of 19th century taste, jack, and you'll attract the National Trust crowd.

More seriously, try googling blackpool boutique hotels or something. This sounds right up my street

we stayed at one called the Vancouver Hotel quite a few years ago and it was horrible, the manager wouldn't even keep the bar open late for us considering there was a coach load of us aging from mid 20's to early 70's and it was out of season and the only booking he was liable to get, he really didn't want us there you could tell.

Is it possible that some of the visitors you experience are so full of themselves that nothing would satisfy them ?
