I love my kindle fire...your wireless connection should do it....if you look on Amazon if there is a dongle for kindle it will be there....it would need to be a micro connection....
found this on amazon
'it does have a usb port but the Kindle usb port is not configured as a usb host as far as I can determine and even if it were, there is no firmware to support peripherals. Plugging a 3g dongle into your kindle would be the equivalent of plugging a dongle into a mouse. '
Had a look in kindle store....no dongles....so you'll need to try your wireless ....swipe screen down from top...once you've unlocked it.....tap wireless ...find your router in list and connect....give me a shout if I can help you further 're kindle...
Looking through the Amazon Customer Forum, then being the bearer of bad news, the Kindle Fire hasn't got a usb host software, it needs a "host", i.e a PC to "dongle, but you could run it through a smartphone to attach to a wi-fi hotspot, or alternatively give up.
murray - have got the wi-fi linked up but it kept losing the signal. My MacBook does that too. I am going to go and huddle under the duvet with it (and young Frankie will lie purring beside me).
