What If The Labour Party Got Rid Of...

My boyfriend and I are planning on going travelling in a few years time once we have the money saved. The things is, we don't really want to do the usual backpacker thing of going to Thailand, Austrailia etc. Is there a book that shows different or unusual places to visit so we can plan our trip? Or are there any places any of you would recommend seeing?! Thanks for any help.

I really recommend Phuket,Thailand at the moment, I go there frequently and travelled there in January after the Tsunami. It would be great to spend you money there as the local really need the support. They're doing some great deals for the Laguna resort at Bang Tao beach. There are several luxurious resorts there and now quite affordable. Rent a car and drive around the island, visit Phuket town for a day or two. Patong beach will give you the nightlife and the beaches along the way are nestled within the hills - skinny dipping doesn't go amiss! There are snorkelling excursions and wildlife parks. If thats your thing, give it a try!
