What Day Should I Travel

I'm driving to Somerset from Leicester over Easter weekend. Any advice about which would be the better day, Saturday or Sunday? I know it's a bit of a vague question but would appreciate any thoughts you may have.

on that journey, it's more of a "time of day" thing rather than which day - the possible delaying events may well be ok most of the day, with only transient issues at "peak" times. long term roadworks on the M5 J4 to J6 (smart motorway upgrade), around J12 (bridge works) and around Michaelwood Services (drainage works), all with 50mph and average speed cameras....

I doubt that it will make much difference.
The M5 should be reasonably free-flowing on both days, as should the M42. The M6 stretch might be rather busy on Saturday, but better on Sunday. The M69 is rarely a problem. Leicester City are playing away on Saturday, so the A5460 into the city shouldn't be too bad on either day.
A quick glance at the Highways Agency website doesn't indicate any major roadworks on either day but you might like to check:
