I am totally in love with elephants and wish to spend sometime with some next year along with my hubby for our 10th wed anniversary. Has anyone been on an elephant safari, where is best to go to get the most time with them??????????

India or Nepal are the likeliest; there aren't so many places in Africa that do them because African elephants are bigger and stroppier.

A few years ago I went to Sri Lanka and visited the Pinnewala elephant orphanage. You can help feed the baby elephants with bottled milk; all the elephants are taken down to the nearby river once or twice a day and you can get in and help wash them! And you can take an elephant ride through the jungle. Then, of course, you have the rest of Sri Lanka to explore which is a fascinating country.
