Are you looking for a beach holiday or would somewhere central be OK?

How many are travelling?

Assuming that you're coming back, how long do you wish to stay? A week? A fortnight? Is there any flexibility in return dates?

I don't mind doing some searching for you but I don't want to waste time checking out destinations and dates which aren't suitable. Just for starters, though, Ryanair will fly you out from Stansted, at 1030, to Girona for just �19.99 (+taxes). If you return 1 week later, on the 9th, you've got a choice of 3 flights at �0.79 (+ taxes) each.

Girona Airport is handy for Barcelona (I hr 10 minutes by coach, 19 euros return). Barcelona is a wonderful historic coastal city with loads of good beaches nearby. (Alternatively, there are buses from the airport to Costa Brava resorts like Lloret de Mar).

Another tip - if you try Easyjet, don't accept first price (unless it's a good one) took me 4 attempts within 20 minutes to get the cheapest seat on the same flight.

Buenchico - I'm going to fuengirola so i think the best airport is Malaga, there are 2 of us going for a week on the 2nd of May , I've booked the hotel but i can change the dates if there happens to be cheaper flights on a different date

Here's how I've gone about trying to find some cheap flights for you:

My first step was to look at a map of Spain, together with the Thomas Cook European Rail Map, to see if there was any sensible alternative to flying to Malaga. It seems that there isn't.

Then I visited the website for Malaga Airport to see which airlines fly there from London. The only operator from Stansted is easyjet. Gatwick is served by Easyjet, GB Airways and Monarch. (I also checked Luton. easyjet and Monarch fly from there).

Then I tried the airlines' websites Here are the best deals I could find. All prices are the total return prices for two people (but excluding any charges for paying by debit card and also excluding the insurance which easyJet tries to include in your payents). All quotes are for outbound travel on 02/06 and back on 09/06:

The best that GB Airways can do is �299. That's flying from Gatwick at either 0800 or 1210 with a choice of return flights at 1245 or 1650.

Monarch can fly you out from Gatwick at either 0715 or 1700, with return flights at 1200 or 2145. Their total figure is �210.34.

If you'd consider Luton, the Monarch flights from there are cheaper. Out at 0730, returning at 1200, for a total of �189.50.

easyJet's prices from Luton are slightly dearer. Out at 0730, returning at 1550, for �213.96.

The cheapest easyJet flights from Stansted might not suit your needs because you effectively waste the first day of your holiday. Out at 1750, returning at 2220 for �197.96. If you're an early bird, however, you can retrieve that first day by taking the 0655 flight out. This costs just �10 extra per person. i.e. a total of �217.96.

As long as you can get to Gatwick really early, however, the cheapest flights of all are from there, with easyJet. Out at 0615, returning at 2205 for a total of �175.96.

Try www.latedeals.com they have great auction site and ususally flights to Costa del Sol - Malaga go for around 40.00 for the two tickets for l week
