Depends where in Europe and what kind of weather you prefer?....for me, I prefer visiting most places in Europe in Spring or Autumn. Weather is usually pretty good, and the crowds are a little less than in the height of summer.
anytime between jan first and dec thirty first.
Be more specific.

Please give some more details:

* Where will you be coming from?

* How long will you have available?

* What sort of thing do you want to do/see? (Beaches, mountains, cities, museums etc)

* Do you want to stay in one place or travel around?

Spring or Autumn for South.

Sommer for North.

Winter for skiing.

If will be four people traveling for two weeks from the USA. We want to stay in Germany a week and visit France. Then we will stay in Austria for a week and visit Italy. We will be sightseeing and may try sking.

Thanks for you suggestions

I still think that you need to be more precise. If you only have two weeks and intend to do sightseeing in four countries plus some skiing (and then, presumably, returning to the USA via the airport you arrived at), you will be on a very tight schedule and will have to be very selective in what you will be able to see and do.

* Where will you be flying from in the USA?

*Where will you arrive at in Germany?

* Where do you want to go in France, Austria and Italy?

* From which European airport will you return to the US?

* How do you plan to travel round in Europe (plane, car, train)?

* Have you been to Europe before? (I'm wondering if you realise how big it is and the time you will spend travelling).

* Do you have a generous budget? (I'm thinking of the cost of travel which, in spite of the proliferation of low-cost airlines, doesn't come particularly cheap in Europe.

Thank you Steve I will gather that information and post when I finish.

If I were you , I would start a new thread so that it will be at the top of the first page and people will see it. This one is already on page 3 ! You could perhaps include a link to your original question.
