Has anyone flown Cathay recently? I know years ago they were a fantastic airline with a great reputation. However not too sure what they are like now? Does anyone have any experiences to share?

Thanks

Twelve years ago we were flying to Brisbane but stopped off at Hong Kong, and CATHAY handled the transfer. Unfortunately my son who was the n aged 10yrs, had been violently sick as we approached the cathay desk and straight away the manager organised someone to help my husband to take them both to the mens room to clean my sone up,he himself processed all our papers, and another carried my three hand luggage bags and another cleaned up the sick ,all l had to do was answer a few questions, They got us through very quickly,we only had lhr 15mins to get through the tran sfer, and when we did arrive at the departure gate to board the ansett airline, we found that the cathay staff had got us an upgrade to business class,we were very grateful to the staff of cathay and on our return to the UK we wrote to the parent company, and got a letter of thanks back. Well done cathay.
brilliant airline service everything superb
yes still.... the reputable airline. since they're hong kong's carrier and with the opening of disneyland there, they should really maintain the good status.
Hi,

Yes, I have travelled on Cathay twice for the last one year. They are still a great airline - good food and friendly stewards. You can also collect Asian air-miles on this airline.

Thanks very much. I am flying with them to Hong Kong in Dec. Haven't flown with them for years and am pleased to hear the service is still up to scratch.
