Q24a Not convinced this is in Greece have seen similar in the Yemen. No doors in the greek houses in the middle of the first floor walls. Does anyone have the right answer.

I agree with you re not Greece. The Xysta patterning may be similar but the architecture is all wrong. Don't have any better suggestions though. I thought North Africa/Middle East initally and so Yemen may be right! Anyone actually know.

24a.....have just been for a walk. went to WHSmith and looked at a small book called (from memory) Aegean Islands by the AA...it has one of those "wire" spines. look under pyrgi or pirgi and there is the photo in colour! paul...ie GREECE
