campings back on !! i no heeehee i change my mind alot, im only sleeping there for one night but staying for two days im not taking alot, what are the main things il need? xx
Tent (obviously!) make sure you've also got the poles, ropes and pegs (our family went the 300 miles down to Devon for the eclipse then realised the tent poles were at home! me and my dad had to drive back home to get them!)
Sleeping bag and pillow, use a roll mat if you're only sleeping one night, takes up less room than an air bed!
I would take a couple of survival bags too, not only will they save your life if you're suffering from hypothermia, you can also use them to double bag the floor of your tent as the groundsheets aren't always brilliant and they provide extra insulation/ stop tent getting mucky from your feet.
Although I got home yesterday and had a photo shoot and my electric had gone! You never know whats important until its gone. Couldnt have shower as electric, couldnt dry my hair, freezer was off, Aaargghhh
they sell wax strips as well, there is nothing wrong with wanting to look presentable on a campsite, I refuse to wear the balloon shaped shorts and unflattering tanks tops available in colours that will only give you a washed out looking complexion (as modelled in some campsites in england)
14 day rations of dehydrated food supplies
Water purifer tablets
Fishing Hooks
Needle and thread like Rambo has incase you need to sew yourself up
Compass
Foreign currency
Gun powder
Machete
Morphine
One night????? Dont even think of taking washing stuff?? Can you really not last 24 hours without a shower??
Sam
I'd take all your hayfever stuff since you have symptoms quite a lot. More pollen outside, mind you if you're going to God's own country the air is going to be a lot purer ;o) Have fun!
oops, just seen your original post sam, where you mention your hayfever. nevermind, it'll be better in the rain. I nearly drowned in the rain camping a few weeks ago but I had the best fun ever. Was quite nice being dirty for a few days too-makes it all the more satisfying when you get home to a nice hot shower!
