Next may it is mine and my friends 40th. We.ve decided we.d like to go abroad for 3 or 4 nights! There are about ten of us going (ranging from 26yrs to 55yrs). Wondered if anybody could suggest where to go, that would cater for us all. (some of us "wino,s" , some us "a bit quiet")????? julie x

Why not look at RCI who have a 4n or 5n cruise out of Barcelona on Navigator of the Seas. A great break with a vast range of activities for all of you to do as little or as much as you want to [and several bars!]. A different port every day!

The 4n goes on May 15 and 29 to Villefrance and Ibiza, and the 5n goes on May 10 to Marseilles, Sardinia and Sicily.
They are very good value at the moment!

How about just Barcelona? A group of 7 of us went last year for a 40th birthday (ages from 30 - 46) and we had a fantastic time. There are LOADS of places to visit, lots of shopping and enough bars/restaurants to suit everyone!

Hi Julie.I'm also 40 next year,in September and we just came back from Palma in Mallorca (I was checking it out for next year!) It's the nicest city I've ever been.Lots to see,beaches if you want them,great shops,bars and restaurants.Really clean...just beautiful.Can't recommend it highly enough.Almost forgot,lots of cheap flights available.We stayed in a gorgeous apartment but there are also loads of nice hotels.My dad and stepmum are coming next year as well as others of different ages.Have fun.

Krakow, prague, gdansk.
very nice cities with cheap accommodation, plenty of bars etc and reasonably cheap to get to.
