Hiya,

Just a quickie....what do you recommend is the best thing to wear for a long haul flight (uk-india)? I want to look smart/professional, trendy and to be warm/cool as required!

I've got almost 24hrs of travelling to do (inc transfers) - I was thinking, smartish jeans, black top, grey sweater & black jacket with ballet pumps - does this sound ok?

A xXx

dont forget your surgical tights
dont want D V P settling in
thats sounds fine to me anything comfortable for long haul flights also dont forget to wear flight socks helps prevent DVT
also a pair of clean knickers help :)
Why typical boring British black and grey?. Put some colour into your life especially as you are going to India. People from outside UK tend to be more fashionable and jeans are NOT comfortable to travel lond-distance in. You need something loose..
Nice comfortable clothes. Loose linen trousers and comfortable cotton/linen shirt/top. Don't wear anything restrictive. :)
hey, i have done this same flight and wore black combat trousers, a vest top and a jacket type thing. wore really comfy trainers aswell. such a long trip but soooo worth it when you get there! hope you enjoy x
layers, anything comfortable, especially if flying economy, by the time you arrive you are going to look like all the rest of your fellow passengers, creased wrinkled and worn out. no one will take any notice of you at an Indian airport, unless its a business trip.Suggest posh designer track bottoms. Are you changing planes in Mumbai or Delhi ?
If you wear jeans, shorts or a tee shirt they call you "hippies" behind your back and thats general widespread, we turned up for a dental appt and the receptionist smiled and was ever so polite and nice and then said down the phone in Urdu the two hippies are here, ufortunately for her my husband understands Urdu and she was made to apologise. Asked my sister in law [ I am cockney, husband is Goan] and she said yes we do call you all that and apparently its a no no to wear a tee shirt [ polo shirt acceptable] to meet a bank manager or similar status.
Plus side is laundry in hotels is ever so cheap and same day service.
