lost luggage

I have just been to Dubai and on the way there Air France lost my case with all my clothes etc in. Do any ABers know how I stand regarding all the replacements I had to buy whilst there? Shouldn't the airline pay for that? The case is still AWOL and they tell me we have to wait 21days from our return date before a claim is made. I am severely out of pocket and it ruined my holiday.
Any help would be great

Had same happen to me but got my case 3 days after I got to destination. If you are insurered then you should be able to cliam money back ok. I bought stuff out there and was reimbursed, my mate bought all designer stuff as she knew she'd get money back. I wasnt so flush so couldnt.
