Not sure where to put this question but I need to get a 30kg parcel over to the Algarve cheaply as poss!! Anyone know any reliable services?? DHL and the like want BIG money!

If it hasn't got to go desperately fast, try looking in the Yellow Pages under Freight Forwarders. They will usually pick it up, put it on a truck as groupage, deliver it to Portugal where the local haulage company will deliver it for you. I used to do this to Austria. Goods picked up Thursday would be delivered to the recipient on Tuesday. A 30kg parcel will be no problem at all.

Forgot to say, not all FF's will go to Portugal. I used to haul for Davis Turner and they do. They have depots all over the country. Tell me whereabouts you live and I can tell you where the nearest  DT depot is.

Herts will either come under the Dartford depot or Birmingham(Hams Hall). Phone the Dartford depot as that is head office and they should be able to sort you out (01322)  277558

Must put my specs on!! Herefordshire will be either B'ham or Bristol. Try the Dartford number anyway; probably the best bet.
