"Artists" grafting their voice onto Elvis songs, like they did a duo with him, isn't this very crass and do you think the King would have approved ?

Just lazy - why not compose some new stuff with your own talent(?) and see what the public make of it?

It's all in pursuit of their art, Chipchopper, not money, art. :-)

As to 'the King', never got that, never will. Just another singer got lucky and promoted.

I would hope he'd not be fussed about it. Why would he ?
It doesn't say much for the singer when he has to tack on the voice of a singer who's been dead for nearly forty years, at least he didn't destroy the definitive version by Peggy Lee. I think the King would have found it quite funny.

No no no, its not about the money Doug, art for arts sake....right ;-).
The wonders of modern technology eh'.

Yep, that would be sacrilege, Vulcan!
Near the end of Frank Sinatra's life he made one (or maybe 2) duet albums.

He never actually met any of the singers who he dueted with, the vocals were recorded in totally different studios at different times.

Some were even recorded on different continents at different times (Frank in the USA and someone else in the UK for example).

O.G, I think he would have been all shook up, by such a poor rendition, a bit like stepping on the iconic blue suede shoes!
I don't think the King would mind at all.
Didn't Natalie Cole do the same thing with one of her farther's songs?
I think it's a good track, and take my hat off to the technology.
