I've had a couple of these before and they do tend to come unstuck, every so often, I think this seems to happen when larger birds try to get at the food.
I found a smear of washing up liquid, on the suction cup, kept them stuck a little longer.
It takes a while for the birds to find the courage and confidence to start using them but a bit ot patience will pay dividends.
Best sited somewhere that is hard for cats for cats to sneak up on.

thanks chip
I had one on my kitchen window and it was wonderful. Then I moved and it wasn't possible to put one on the kitchen window, so I put it on the bedroom window. Mistake!!!! Blooming things woke me up early every morning, so the feeder was removed VERY quickly! I had no trouble with the suckers staying on, they were fine.
Our Lounge is at the rear of the house and on the first floor so has made an ideal site for our window feeder. We did lose one in extremely high winds but generally it is well fixed. We have a nice array of birds who now love it, especially a chaffinch that comes in 5-6 a day.
The only downsides have been when the magpies attempted and attempted to 'land' - made a mess on the window - they managed it in the end and took whole fatballs at a time. Solved that by removing it for a couple of weeks and they 'forgot' how to land on it.
It will take a while for the little ones to find it but it is a pleasure when they do.
(PS It is amazing how far up a wall slugs can and will climb!)

thanks captain and helly, i plan to place mine either by my kitchen sink window or the conservatory which i can see from the kitchen window. Unfortunately i have a cat that sits and waits for the birds that land in a tree first and then fly over to my now broken bird hut (wind damage) so i decided to get the box instead. The cat sits on a dwarf wall and then jumps up onto the edge of the fence where the tree is. I've tried orange peel and citronella but it still comes back
