That was earlier this month av, a rare attempt I believe. They actually got only half way and had to ring the Spanish coastguard. The waters in the Straits boil, not a place to be in a small craft. The ancients even knew that you went out on one side and could only get back in on the other.

Why would anyone want to go to the Costa Del Sol?

I've been once.

It's a horror show (the holidaymakers, rather than the place itself).

Sp you should have gone to the Costa Brava..Sitges I believe caters for the more sensitive soul..

There are nicer areas of the Costa Del Sol, sp. Not everywhere there is like Torremolinos and Benidorm.
