Following the death of our son, which most of you kindly sent kind wishes, he donated his organs. It was always his wish to donate and he gave blood 3 times a year - anyway... we have had the most wonderful letter from someone who received one of his kidneys. A young man who had been hospital bound for many years and is now doing very well. I'm so proud of my boy and he would be so proud of himself.

Through all the pain you have been through, a little ray of sunshine has come. You are right to be proud of your son, out of a death comes a life.

Such a lovely and brave thing to do xx
Wonderful news. It must be great comfort to you, to know that your lovely son is helping someone else to live.

Thank you all xx
What a wonderful thing to do masma....if only we could persuade more people to be so public-minded.
So a part of your son lives on. That must be a huge comfort for you, Masma.
Masma, that is a real brilliant and unselfish thing to do.
What a lovely, heart-warming post to read. I feel proud of your dear son so I can only imagine how you feel. The gift of life or better health is a marvellous legacy to leave. You will treasure that letter for always, rightly so. God bless you and your son.
What a wonderful gift to give someone - the chance of a normal life. You have every right to be proud of your son.
Masons Ma, what a gift.
The circumstances so very sad, but what a gift to give someone whom he wouldn't have known. I am sure you are proud of your son and you have every reason to be so. I hope that if you ever need, we are all here for you should you need to talk, if it will help in a small way xx
