Spoiler if you haven't watched tonight's so click off...

I never ever watch this but have just caught the last 5 minutes. Who has died that has so many staff standing round and crying? Must be a big deal.

Do you mean Holby City? Not watched it yet but Arthur (young doctor) is terminally ill with cancer so perhaps it's him?

Oh silly me, yes Holby it must be. thanks that must be it.
Arthur Digby, one of the doctors.

I didn't watch it all properly as was cooking dinner but sobbed at the ending.

I don't think this thread is much as a spoiler as most Holby fans knew it was happening tonight...

Thanks ummmm, didn't want to spoil it but was obviously a major event, they didn't play the theme music at the end either.
It was so so sad. I loved the dance, especially Ric Griffin and Hanssen.
I was so emotional, very well acted. Were they his medals?
They were his grandfather's medals which he treasured They had been stolen and were retrieved. It was nice to get a glimpse of Chantelle again.I used to like her
Chantelle, that's it, I couldn't think of her name last night. I liked her too.
I really hope Dom, Hanssen and Zosia never leave, I'd be distraught :)
It was lovely to see Ethan come up from the ED too.
couldn't see the end through the tears ,why did they kill him off .loved the dance routine .
Mally he wanted to leave but from what I've read I think he was surprised that about the storyline. It would have been lovely to see him back in a year or two, a more confident man.
shame he wasn't a twin then the other one could come to holby .
So sad that Diggers has gone, but loved the dance routine they did for him and great that he got his grandfather's medals back. Lovely to see Chantelle again and Ethan appearing was a bonus.
I never cry but sobbed so much when he died, I liked him, and when his wife said "I'll walk you home!" I'm filling up just typing this. But why did they all dance earlier on in the programme, and Ethan (another of my favourites) joined in?
Having only recently started watching Holby and Casualty can someone explain who Chantelle was and why Zosia was so fond of Arthur. I've Googled but not much explained.
Here's a page on his character and development.

Thank you so much, just read it, now I understand.
You're welcome, he was a great character - it was great watching him develop.

I found last night very moving.
