I wasn't pleased about the Boris saga but he explained himself well, despite Marr doing his usual Noo Labour luvvie sniping. I'm starting to think I may transfer my support to him. Anyone else see the interview? Can someone train Marr on how to do political interviewing what a disaster he is.

Looks like the next Tory leader will be female.
Gove is deeply unpopular with Tory MPs right now, it might be less humiliating if he were to withdraw.

Tuesday - Gove out
Thursday - Crabb out
Tuesday - Fox out, May and Leadsom make the ballot paper.

Fox out
Leadsome out

leaving May and Gove. May would then be a shoo-in.

So the Remainers have a 47 vote advantage. Gove will not get through.

I don't get your logic. There are only two Remainers standing and one will not make the ticket. Therefore the other must be a Leaver and I see no reason why it should not be Gove.

Leadsom will beat Gove to the ballot paper in my opinion. The Parliamentry Conservative Party might forgive him for his part in the assasination of Cameron, but they will not forgive him for nobbling the heir apparent, Boris. The Remainers won't vote for him, and the Leavers will be very angry with him, and there will be a backlash.

You may well be right but for me it's too close to call. I think Crabbe and Fox will go early, so the last two will be May + A.N. Other (Leadsom or Gove) and I am not betting on either.
