does anyone know approximately how long these last?

is it an all evening type of thing or do they run to a schedule of a few hours?

its just that i have to go to one tonight, but i'd like to go to the pub afterwards if possible but don't want to leave if the party is still going on. i don't mind staying but i want to let my mates know if i'll be at the pub or not

Well the woman who brings the gear,will do her bit with games and raffle normally,about 2 hour give or take it really depends on the hostess whos party it is,as she can organise drinks,nibbles etc and it could go on for hours,your best bet if you wanna go to pub as well is to tell your mate that you have to leave by a certain time as you have to meet someone,

I have to say the parties are far more fun than going into the shops, cos the staff in the one across from where I work are ignorant and ill mannered.
