Plumbing Charges.
11 Answers
We have just had a plumber in , replacing our shower pump. His quote, when 'having a look', was £50-£60, depending on whether he needed to supply some more bits.
He asked me for £45, in the end, saying that it didn't take him long.
How refreshing is that! Bless him.

I had a downstairs cloakroom that I removed and used as a storage cupboard. Only the toilet removed.
My uncle was in hospital for 3 months and after discharge came to live with me as his movement was minimal.
Phoned my plumber cousin (also his uncle) to re-fit the toilet to make it into uncles wash room etc.
A week later I got an invoice through the post for £70.50..
Yeah right! Like I'm paying that.
Phoned my dad, who phoned his brother, who phoned his son, to scrap the invoice. Found out a few years later my cousins dad paid it.
Besides my dad not one person contributed to my uncles upkeep and he was the diamond of the family. My cousin even named his son after him!!! Greedy feckers...
