visas for new zealand
If my husband gets a 2 year work permit for New Zealand, does anyone know if myself and my 2 children can go and live out there on his visa or do we need our own?

You would, however, likely have to obtain any work permit for yourself entirely in your own right (i.e. in effect separately). I know someone who accompanied her husband to New Zealand some years ago and found the system there obstructive with regard to her work permit, but that may have been a particular case and rules/procedures may have changed since.

You ought to apply for an "Open Work Permit" If you had a mind to, it would allow you to take up any work, rather than being tied to a specific job as your husband probably is. Have a look here where it also tells you about the children and schooling.
