please please please can someone tell me who covered the male version of "tell him" originally done in 1962 by the exciters, covered in the 90s by Vonda Shepherd but I remember a version in the 70's done by a male group singing "Tell her"

the group was "Hello" and their version of Tell Her was released in November 1974.

Don't know the group but there is a male version popular on the Northern Soul scene by Dean Parrish - Tell Her.

thanks spiceboy I had forgotten about that one also... I used to stand at the side of the dance floor and watch all the soulies without even attempting to hide my admiration but Hello was definitely the school disco one :-)
