Nearly 7 weeks out from my operation and I have developed a pain on the site of the largest incision where my stomach and gallbladder were removed from.
The incisions are all healed nicely and all that is left is a series of red scars, but this pain when it comes is very sharp lasts a couple of seconds and then disappears for a couple of hours then it repeats again.
I am off to see my team next week but I was wondering if anyone has any ideas what it could be.
Thank you

I'm sure all will be well, Islay. You've had some very good advice, which rather pre-empts what I was going to say, which was that after hip replacement op. I had sharp pain under the site where the drain had been placed and this proved to be because of bursitis there (cured by an injection). Sqad will, as always, prove to be correct. Congratulations on the weight loss, it has taken me 3 months to lose halfa stone.
