Pain when I run?

At the moment I am training quite a lot in the gym. But whenever I run (even a short distance) I get a really sharp jabbing pain in my lower stomach (just above my hip bone. It sometimes hurt so much that I cant 'run it off' and have to stop. If I press it, it still hurts up two ours after I have finished exercising. Anyone have any idea what it could be? It's not stich.

Thanks

Floss this is probably stitch. type "stitch whilst running" into google and read the results
Yeh, I get this sometimes too and it really isn't a stich I know. It feels more like something's caught on something (I know that sounds weird) like a tendon or a muscle. I only seem to get it on my left side, only every now and again and it lasts just a couple of minutes but I'm sure this is the same sensation that you're describing. This isn't very helpful but I'm just trying to clarify that it is not a stich (if this is in fact what you think you're feeling!) x x x
