Jim, //That's from the same school of rhetoric as "Brexit means Brexit"... // Not quite sure how you work that out, but the mentality of the naïve – or those on the lookout for a freebie - never ceases to amaze me, so I’m pretty philosophical about the outcome of elections. I listened to Jeremy Corbyn today telling us that a Labour government will change the...

Mikey, nice try at silencing the opposition, but no one is bullying kvalidir. I've no doubt she is well aware that if she enters into discussion and other people disagree with her she must accept that - and so must you.

kvalidir, I haven't mentioned your age - and I'm standing up for what I believe in too.

anneasquith, that which you imagine is all in your imagination. ;o)
Anne, you don't even have the academic clout to be on this thread. Why don't you go and persecute someone whose lifestyle outshines yours.

As for JC, the thought of him getting to number 10 makes me shudder. We'll have an endless surge of migrants holding out their unskilled grasping hands, milking our welfare and housing systems and Corbyn the deluded loon will force the hard working people of our country to pay for them, for how dare they achieve something in life and not be prepared to share it with our migrant and our indigenous idle!
NoMercy...why the nastiness ?
Nasty? Try not to overreact, Mikey.

Anne has considerable form for being extremely unpleasant to anyone who has a decent lifestyle.
Flipped. Heck n.m. you drunk ?
Drunk? I hardly think so in my condition.

You have hounded me in the past without the slightest provocation. I've seen you hound others too.
I don't even talk to you on!one n.m. but carry on :-)
Blimey, that escalated quickly. I've never seen Anne hound anyone and I don't think any of us have the right to suggest that someone doesn't have the 'academic clout' to hold an opinion- we could all say that about anyone we don't personally like.
Mikey > So few of your generation seem interested in politics, and even fewer seem to want to get out and vote. I was talking to a few teens over the weekend, and most didn't even know there was an Election in the offing !

I can well believe that!
Anne, you hounded me and my ex on here 6 years ago.

You only post on my threads when you're being bitter and sarcastic and you try to undermine any medical advice I give in B&S.
Kval, it's a free country and as such I have the right to suggest anything I choose. However there are plenty of mods around who can remove my post if they were to deem it OTT.

This will be my last post on this subject and I won't be back to read any responses, as unfortunately my signal here in Boston is very hit and miss.

Have a nice day everyone :-)
aa - NoM is right about you whether you like it or not.
Mikey - "The vitriol directed at kvalidir just isn't called for....its why she disappeared from AB for so long. Give her some space guys....we were all young once!"

What vitriol?

I cannot see anything on the thread that has been even remotely vitriolic.

I stated kvalidir's post at 21.17 yesterday came across to me as naïve - for the simple reason that to me it is naïve. By no stretch of the imagination is this vitriolic.

I have no idea of kvalidir's age - none whatsoever - but being naïve is not necessarily a young person's trait, as Jeremy Corbyn, John Mcdonnell and Diane Abbott are ably demonstrating.
Apart from Divebuddy's assumptions about me I don't really see any vitriol either, a lot of smug disagreement and nonsense insults but nothing that would bother me, however to address Divebuddy;s assumptions about me I wqill put the record straight at the risk of being accused yet again of virtue signalling.
1. No I don't grow my own veg or anyone else's, I'm a talantless gardener, but I have held and am continuing to hold free drama workshops in my house and grounds and help anyone I can with the talents I do possess.
2. We have had two immigrants stay with us, and are happy to have more.
3. I regularly help out at a soup kitchen, pay for riding lessons every week for 4 underprivileged kids who would otherwise never be able to afford them and contribute financially to other charities regularly as and when I see fit.
4. I really shouldn't have had to provide a grown person with that information because they shouldn't have made assumptions in the first place, but since they did here it is, and I STILL stand by everything I have said regarding us as a society having a better future under a Labour Government and if you don't like it, then I'm afraid you'll have to lump it.
Good for you kval x
Kvalidir at 16.44 -

Virtue signalling? I'd say you've put the cat among the pigeons there!

Good on yer! x
