Gooseberry Jam

Anyone eaten it - is it nice? I need to make some jam for a charity stall this weekend and I see that gooseberries are in season. I haven't eaten a gooseberry since I was a child and I picked some that were overhanging my Gran's meadow and developed a rash. That kind of put me off.

My husband keeps going on about Tayberries Toorak, I think we are in the right area...I'll have a look to see if any of the fruit farms in Perth and Kinross or Fife grow them. Thanks for the reminder x

When I made raspberry jam I found removing the seeds a bit of a chore. The end result was good though

They do - a few years ago I bought tayberries at a farm shop on the road between Cupar and st andrew's - so worth googling

But they are quite expensive so probably not a jam option (but a nice treat)

I got my Rasp's from that farm last year Toorak, never thought to look for Tayberries. Will this year. Thank you :o)

I know, I'm a walking disaster. Went to Loch Leven with the kids the other week and fell down a rabbit hole and twisted my ankle, that still hurts a bit!
