Does anybody know why the pods on my runners are not setting. There are plenty of flowers but so far no beans.

There is a type of bee that has a short proboscis that will take a short cut to collect nectar, via the back of the flower by piercing a hole and avoiding the reproductive parts of the flower.
If that is the case, I can only suggest growing some flowers that will attract a wide range of pollinators.
