Went shopping earlier and left cash and bank card on coffee table.

Managed to get a few bits n bobs needed, phew!

I'm in the habit of checking contents of purse before I do go into shop, so no major faux pas.

Do you have a ritual/habit before you go into a shop?

Been meaning to ask for ages, but have been rather tentative cos I'm known for getting ab'ers muddled up lol xx

I wouldn't worry should being muddled. It's an endearing quality in my book....and certainly nicer than some of the other character quirks we see on here...;-))

I go thro a ritual before leaving the house
( esp the gas fire)
and then a pochette count ( 3 articles - keys, wallet and eye drops)

Four articles - flag a box - more than three articles in pochette
and then add (4th) article to list.....

I also tend to watch people put their keys and wallet away

so when a friend 'lost' his passport at the airport check in
I said: you put it in your right inside pocket at 10 30 this morning.
the security staff just stared at me

I don't have a ritual, but I do like to check I have my card, change and keys with me.
