Anyone been there? What's it like? I heard it was like Amsterdam but cheaper and better. Any truth in that?

I'd strongly recommend the Plantin-Moretus printing museum.

My Dad got Hepaptitis there (The food poisening variety) .... that all I've got to say on the matter....good chocolate though!

Antwerp is great. Dpn't know about the comparison to Amsterdam (but hey, I'm Dutch), but it's a nice, friendly, chic, beautiful city. Great for shopping (from cheap to luxeurious (hope to have spelled this correctly), watching great buildings and most of all for great food!!! Mirjam
