Swap Sim Old Phone

hubby has an old Nokia flip open phone whihc has given up the ghost.

He doesn t want a smart phone, and I have an my old Samsung flip open, so I thought i'd swap the sim and all would be well. But when I do, my contact list remains on my old phone, how can that be?

They have been saved to the phone.

Of course, I can see that now, I have changed the setting to look at Sim but its only seeing a handful of the contacts on the sim. Any ideas now?

when you save a number to contacts in the past, did you save them to sim or phone ? if some are missing from the sim pop it back into your old phone and go into contacts and save all contacts to sim, if it say overwrite say yes, then you should have all your contacts on the sim, then reset the phone to factory defaults in settings again. pop your sim into your new phone and all your contacts should be on the sim.
