recommendations for skin tag removal (underarm) please?

Go to your local GP. The practise nurse should be able to remove it. It’s BLOODY painful tho (but then I am a man).

Get someone to tie a piece of thread around it very tightly. It might come off straightaway, or within a couple of days.

Or you can try DIY by tying a thread tightly round it to cut off blood supply and waiting (a week or two ) till it falls off.

It really depends on how large and/or bothersome it is - GPs tend not to be interested.

Is it possible to get someone to tie off some fine dental floss round it?

That sometimes does the trick.

my GP doesn't do them, but if you find one who does it'll just be with liquid nitrogen as I recall; again it may take a week before it drops off. Some people just cut them off with scissors, but I wouldn't.

I have 15 -20 where my bra rubs against my skin. Probably would be possible to get my sister to ties something around the larger ones but most of them are small. The dental floss thing sounds painful.....has anyone tried it?

The tying off isn't as painful as snipping them off, have done a couple on necks that way - but it is quick.

With that many I'd get them removed professionally. If your GP won't oblige pay privately if that's feasible. That's what my mum did but she was with BUPA.

The small ones can be removed by electrolysis - I have had that done a few times at a local beauty parlour

My GP got rid of mine. Snipped off with sterile surgical scissors, then a small dressing put over the spot. I had 9, GP did 3 at a time over 3 appointments. No pain, very tiny blood loss just a spot on the dressing.

I have snipped mine off with new sterile toe nail clippers! some hurt and bled a lot but then I am a bleeder!!
