Advice Help On Updates

I would be grateful for help Toshiba windows 7 there used to be updates but none for
ages how do I down load these and abole reader comes up to install
when I turn laptop on says Toshiba notebook stopped working
Please help Thanks

Just type "update" in the search field on the bottom left (above the Windows circle".

Then from the list select Windows Update

Then select Check for Updates.

Note that there are less updates to Windows 7 now it is getting on a bit.

Support for Win 7 ends on Jan 14 2020 so you have a few years yet. That said you may experience compatibility issues with newer addons and websites.
