I just feel awful this morning after dropping her off. She was sad she didn't get any breakfast, but full of beans in the vet's waiting room. To see the vet carry her off broke my heart.

It always does but look forward to picking her up and nursing her back to her normal bounding health. She will be better for having had the op and you have saved her from having ladies problems later in her life :)

Choux, thanks, I know I've done the right thing, it's just really pulling on my heart strings!!
She'll be ok I'm sure but I know it's a worry, you'll have to try and keep busy till they call you. My eldest who is nearly 12 has a eye injury that's not healing so he may be taken in for a minor eye op later. I have an appointment in about half an hour to find out but it means none of mine have had breakfast yet. I'm sure both will be ok but we will still worry.
Have you got something light in for her dinner tonight? I always serve my patients with a little poached chicken breast and boiled rice. Always get a clean bowl in return!
Oh isn't it the most heartbreaking thing - I always take my other pup out to keep them busy so they don't pine
Question Author
choux yes, she's got white rice and boiled egg for dinner tonight bless her
They do recover remarkable quickly and you'll find yourself having to stop her playing and jumping about.
She'll be right as rain in no time at all. You know you have done the right thing for her future health.
Hope she is now home and you have a good night with her x
How's it going, Anthro?
Aww bless her, hope she's feeling ok.

The hardest part is keeping them quiet, they want to play and jump as normal, while you age your heart in your mouth every time they move.

Thanks everyone :-)

Tilly, she's doing great. She's got her baby grow on to keep her away from her stitches as she can take off her cone of shame! Nightmare! Shes peeing, pooping, eating and drinking, but still a little shakey at times (mainly when she's over done it a bit!) We went on a 10 minute lead walk yesterday and she was FAB. Amazed at how great she;s doing.

Got a check up at the vets tonight, but the wound looks clean and dry and already healing.

My other dog is being a bit of a grump cuz she's had so many cuddles.
