11th March - Know the railway line viaduct, area of outstanding beauty. Can anyone give me an idea about the artist so I can sort the town out. Cannot find any artist who died in 1941! Thanks

Look for the three times Prime minister and then who painted his portrait.

You know the artist died in 1941 and you know that he painted a portrait of a 3 time prime minister in 1933. That PM can only be Stanley Baldwin. Therefore google "Stanley Baldwin portrait". An artist comes up (the third entry) who I had never heard of, and he died in 1941. Go to the wiki entry for the artist and it tells you where he died.

Thank you so much - I went through the three time serving prime ministers but obviously did not ask Google the question of who painted him in the right way!!! Your assistance has been much appreciated! Thank you all!

I found him from painting a future monarch, there are a couple but only 1 died in the right area! Never heard of him though. I didn't like this week's it seemed very vague in the middle.
