Just read that Bill Maynard, the lovable scoundrel Greengrass from Heartbeat has died aged 89. Believe he worked for 81 years.

Maynard's daughter-in-law said he had recently filmed an episode of BBC One quiz show Pointless, which was yet to air. I wonder if they will show it now. Be good to see him one last time.
