As someone with a lovely Romanian ex-partner I'm probably biased however I don't care what nationality anyone is as long as they are decent people which the majority of immigrants are.

It's an oversimplification of the situation, used in an effort to drive home that it's an issue. It doesn't stand up to deep scrutiny, of course.

But one need not be subnormal to realise that overpopulation is a problem, and one primary cause is accepting the excess population from elsewhere into your already crowded nation. (And that's before discussing some folks' concern over rapid culture replacement/change.)

Of course NOT ALL immigrants are parasites but it has to be said that since we opened the gates to Eastern Europe the dregs have flooded over here (after we were promised not). This must be a great shame to those that have come here from those countries that are tarred wit the same brush.
