My old Dad told the best way is to pour hot water on them ( but not inside them, of course), dry them off and wear them around the house for a bit. Then plenty of wax shoe polish. The old cavalry way of stretching leather boots (or shoes, I suppose in your case) was to have a horse pee on them, but I think he was pulling my leg.

cheers jj!
Another old fashioned way was to push a large potato into each shoe and leave for as long as possible.
Failing that, the shoe repairers will put stretch them for you. They will keep them a few days though, so i hope you have another pair!!
Sorry, there's an extra PUT in there. Not sure where that came from, but I expect you understood what I was saying.

i don`t think reebok classics go well with a suit so i may have to DIY stretch my shoes using all your ideas!
cheers sixpence.
Oh, please don't use jay jay's horse pee idea. That wouldn't go with a suit, either.
Fill the bath with hot water and rock forward and backwards untill the shoes give , i think the army use this to break in new shoes/boots.

:)

I rub a bit of wet soap on the inside of leather shoes which softens the leather. Then stick them on your feet for a while to break them in.
Did you buy your new shoes early in the morning?
Sounds a silly question, but feet are always slightly leaner first thing in the day and especially in warmer weather they swell slightly as the day wears on. Therefore shoes bought early in the day may seem OK but feel tighter later.
Sretching the leather by rubbing it hard with the blunt stick end of a wooden spoon or similar implement may help.
similar to potato, but use peelings, it rally does work... aed
